Orthodontic Treatment & Invisalign

Straightening your teeth is not only beneficial for their appearance, it is also important for encouraging a correct bite position, helping to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.

At Brisbane Dental Studio, we offer several orthodontic treatment options including conventional fixed bracket braces and Invisalign's 'invisible braces'. You can talk to your dentist about which one will best suit your lifestyle and specific dental needs.

Invisalign - a more subtle solution

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that works to gradually adjust your teeth to a better position, whilst being virtually undetectable in your mouth. In addition to being comfortable to wear, the aligners are also removable, meaning that you can still eat your favourite foods without worrying about brackets.

How does it work?

Custom-made aligners are constructed from a durable, clear plastic and fit snugly over the contours of your teeth to reposition them over time. They are designed using advanced 3D modelling to ensure a precise fit, and the best possible results. Patients will wear each set of Invisalign aligners for approximately two weeks before they acquire a new set to continue the readjustment process.

How many sets of aligners you will require will depend on your teeth - your dentist will be able to advise you on an estimate of how long your course of treatment will take. You will usually only need to visit your dentist once every two months, making Invisalign ideal for people with busy lifestyles.

As the Invisalign aligners are removable, this makes it easier for you to maintain your oral hygiene with thorough brushing and flossing. Thanks to Invisalign, just because you are undergoing an orthodontic treatment doesn't mean you have to stop eating your favourite foods, or doing the things you love.
